The Fabric of a Synthetic Tribe
A surreal fashion AI piece created for the 3rd Annual AI Film Festival, exploring digital embodiment, identity, and illusion.
Seemingly impossible humanoids—robotic sculptures, hybrid models, synthetic muses—command the screen in sculptural stillness and glitchy grace. But slowly, the illusion unravels.
Intentional minimal post-production, real-world sets, tangible garments, and physical movement confront the viewer with a quiet truth: what we assume is AI… might actually be real.
This piece blurs the boundary between synthetic aesthetics and physical craft—inviting us to question where fabrication begins, and belief takes over. Could these beings exist IRL? Or are they only possible in latent space?
This film is part of my ongoing exploration of ethical, human-centric AI in fashion—advocating for transparency, authorship, and the poetic tension between fabrication and truth.
